SOLCON : Optimum Heating Control System for Turf Ground | Systems for heating soil in soccer stadiums have been installed at more than 20 locations in western countries. These systems make use of pipes buried under the soil through which hot water is passed to warm up the soil. However, temperature controls that are suitable for good growth of turf have not been control command adopted, therefore, these systems have caused adverse effects on he growth of turf or have resulted in wastage of energy. This system warms the soil by passing hot water through pipes buried 30 cm beneath the turf soil. Since shadows fall on the turf because of the roof, the field is divided into plural blocks referring to the shadow diagram in winter, and the schedule for passing hot water through each block is estimated by means of a computerized optimization control program. This program mainly makes use of the Finite Element Method (FEM), and is based on the soil temperature data and data of meteorological heating pipe measurements for each block. The system automatically passes hot water basd on the results calculated by the program. In this way,the soil temperature at GL-5cm(which is considered the range in the soil that is very closely linked to the growth of the roots of the turf) is controlled the optimal. and As a result, Consumption of heating energy serves as the minimum. |

Landslide Remote Monitoring System | By installing observation equipment such as a rainfall meter, surface extensometer, surface inclinometer, and groundwater level meter on a slope where there is a risk of sediment disasters, and collecting those measurement data on the cloud server, the condition of the slope can be visualized. Since the manager can grasp the condition of the slope from a remote place, it is possible to take an early response such as an evacuation order. In the vicinity of the monitoring slope, it is possible to notify the local residents of the danger by using a rotating light or a siren. The equipment composed of the system can be battery-powered due to its excellent low power consumption design. And it is resistant to electrical shocks such as lightning, and can withstand long-term use. Moreover, even in mountainous areas where the communication environment is not well prepared, it is possible to provide a highly reliable monitoring system over the long term because of the communication technology that reliably transmits data. |
